OUR OBJECTIVES



  1. To create awareness about the dangers of cancer and other terminal diseases through constant cancer and health related programmes.

  2. Heighten awareness of cancer and effective prevention strategies.

  3. To facilitate cancer screening and testing for early and successful medical intervention.

  4. To promote access to quality and comprehensive Health and Cancer care.

  5. To provide counseling services and home based care on Cancer survivors and their families.

  6. To provide education on healthy lifestyle that prevents or eradicates terminal diseases.

  7. Organizing and managing health awareness events.

  8. To assess the performance of different methods for Cancer screening.

  9. Work together with Government Ministries and other stakeholders to contribute to relevant policies and implementation on Cancer awareness, screening and treatment.

  10. To open a Cancer Screening and Awareness Centre in the near future as we advocate early detection as the best protection for cancer and other cancer related terminal diseases.

    Cancer Awareness & Screening
    at Madre Teresa Catholic Church Zimmerman along Kamiti road, Off Thika Superhighway. The event shall take place on Sunday 11th February, 2018 from 8.00am to 4.00pm.


    The services to be offered shall be:

    1) Essential NCD Screening (Blood Sugars, Blood Pressure, Height & Weight, BMI)
    2) Screening for Reproductive Cancers (Cervical, Prostate & Breast).
    3) Health education and nutritional talks.
    4) Counseling and Social Support.
    5) HIV screening, risk-reduction, counseling and care information
    6)  Other Diseases checkup and diagnosis (ENT, Dental, Lab tests) ... read more

    This shall be celebrated on 4th February. Taking place under the tagline ‘We can. I can.’, World Cancer Day 2016-2018 will explore how everyone – as a collective or as individuals – can do their part to reduce the global burden of cancer.
